The only way this would be possible is if you created an image backup prior to the restore. I think it is reasonable to assume you did not. If you were to explain the issues you are having someone could likely help.

In short no. If it did a Factory restore (not a system restore), it would depend if the image did the quick format or full format. Vista and win7 both write zero's to the hard drive during a full format, making any recovery impossible. A quick format may be recoverable, but in general most factory restores do the destructive formatting. Sorry.

if you need to recover some files from your C:drive, you may be able to use ""recuva"", its free, most factory restores are not so destructive and so long as you have not over written the files you want to recover you stand a fairly good chance of recovering them.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

Depends on the way the company does it. Some computers actually make a file or folder that has all the original data in it.
Otherwise it might be possible but you'd need special stuff to do it. Even I can't recover a overwritten drive. It may be possible to get some files off.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?

it may even have saved your old files under windows.old in explorer, but again depends on how this factory restore was done.
