Can I run programs off my old HDD in Win7

Specs: Windows 7, Intel i7, 6GB
Okay, so here's my situation. I've been working with a Windows XP Pro desktop for 4 years. Two hard drives, the C(a 250 GB SATA) and a storage drive(500 GB SATA, two partitions). I just today got a totally new desktop, which had a preinstalled Windows 7. On slaving the two drives into my new setup, I found that I couldn't use any of the programs installed on the old disks(they all encountered various errors). Which sucks. Four years of downloading and CD-popping stacks up a huge amount of programs that I like to keep around, games and software and others. What, if anything, could I do to either move the installs over or use them from where they are?

Thee isn't much you can do. Most applications must be installed.

Sorry, you can move the files, but not the programs. If you saved the installers, you can try them, not all will work on Windows 7, some will run but under XP compatibility. You would be best off seeing if there are newer versions specifically for Windows 7 anyway.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
