Can I restore just C drive - & not E drive

February 5, 2011 at 19:52:01
Specs: Windows 7 Home Premium, Intel Family6 Model 15 - 2 GB RAM
I'm having some problems with the Win7 program only - on my C drive - & want to restore only
that drive from a System Image created a month ago. I want to restore only the C drive to a previous date & not my data files on my E drive. I can't see how to restore only C drive.

My problem is I can't change numbers/figures in 4 different programs that I have checked so far. For instance I can't change a page to be printed from a 2 to a 3.

System restore will not touch your data files. It will only affect your drivers, installed software, the registry and windows configuration. You can reset windows to its pre-restore state after having used system restore.

if you use the image it will reimage all the drives you have, you may have the choice to only do the C: drive during the process,( havent used it for a long while) you might just save your E; files that are new and then reimage.
has you system been making a backing of the E; drive ? you could also use that once the image has completed.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

There is an option during the restore wizard to exclude all drives except C:

Thanks loads. I solved my original problem & don't have to restore my C drive, thank goodness - but am going to file the info away for future reference.
