Solved Can I restore a notepad entry that wasn't saved?

Specs: Windows 7
yesterday notepad used but not saved. Computer deletes history at every shutdown. Can I still find the notepad entry?

No you can't restore something that wasn't saved.

Deleting history has nothing to do with it as history is just a record of the web pages you've visited or videos you've played online etc (internet history).

Notepad stores everything in RAM until a file is saved. When Notepad is closed, or the computer is rebooted, RAM content is cleared.

You can try Notepad++, which can be configured to save current session and/or make periodic backups.

Notepad is a very simple application and does not save contents anywhere except when explicitly done by the user. When notepad was closed the memory that contained the test became free. The lifetime of data in free memory would normally be a few seconds at most.

If text is important it should be saved periodically.
