Can I install windows 7 64 bit and windows 7 32 bit as multiple OS?
Yes, but you will need a separate license key for each one. You really do not need both though since 64bit will run all 32bit programs. Also consider that 32bit cannot properly use RAM more than 3Gb, but 64bit runs best on 4Gb or more. You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
Thanks for the info..I was having problems with the 64 bit. I'll try running at 32 and see if it works
Fingers thanks again
If this is a new install or an upgrade, did you update all of your drivers?
On 64bit you have two versions of IE8, one 32bit and one 64bit. The 64bit works great, but not for all websites yet, hence the 32 bit version was included also. If your problems surround that, try the 32bit version, or try firefox.
Did you also know that you need two versions of Acrobat reader and two versions of Java (one 32bit, one 64bit for each browser).
Also, some programs that ran well on XP do not run on either version of 7.You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
You have W7 Ultimate. If some of your programs do not work, you can install XP mode and run your programs on this. XP mode runs on Ultimate, Enterprize and Professional. Just an idea. CoolGuy
Fingers and CoolGuy, I'll let you know what I did that works for me. Thanks again
