Specs: Windows 7, 2.1 GHz / 2810 MB
I wish to Install Nitro PDF Express 32 bit software to Windows 7 operating 64 bit software.

I am told that it is not 64 bit software so therefore it cannot install.

Can you please assist.

Thank you.

32 bit software is compatible with a 64 bit system. It's the other way around that won't work.

If they are Windows 7 compatible, then definitely no problem. If they are are Vista, probably OK. If they are XP programs, possibly ok if run in compatibility mode. In general 64bit will run 32bit with no problems. If they will run on 32bit windows 7, they will also run on 64bit windows 7.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
If all else fails, read instructions.

Here is the problem. A program may be 32 bit but have parts that are not. Say for example the installer is a 16 bit installer. Then it would not work.

If the application is fully 32 bit it can be installed in a 64 bit OS.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?

It is the 32-bit drivers and 16-bit programs that do not work in 64-bit environments. Not the 32-bit programs. 32-bit programs may work perfectly. The only thing is, you have to try them.
