You have a pci-e slot on the board. Open the case and read the label on the power supply. What are the specs on the power supply?

Wonderful, but you need to get the specs that are listed on the power supply itself. There is a label on it that gives you the 12 volt rating, like 12v+ and 12v-. What do they say?

Let's back up a little. Why do you need a newer graphics card. Is this for playing games etc. Your power supply is under powered to run any decent card, so, yes, you will need to change it depending on what you want the upgrade for.

yes you can use the card, yes you need a stronger power supply 650watts should be enough.
once you have the power supply, go to youtube and you can see actual video instructions for replacing both the card and the power supply, both of which are very very easy.
the important point about the card and power supply is to be sure the power supply has two 6pin graphics power supplies, in case your graphic card requires two.
1st choose your card then choose the power supply.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
