Download the Hard Drive Diagnostic Software from the Hard Drive Manufacturer, this will check integrity of the drive..

Googling is quicker than waiting for an answer....

If you're seeing that message, you didn't format correctly. You need to wipe out ALL partitioning, then create new partitions (I suggest one for Windows & one for Storage), then format them as NTFS. Prepare the drive with the HDD manufacturer's software, not the Windows disk. Once you've done that, just boot off the Win7 DVD & install.

Change the boot order in cmos/bios setup so your cdrom/DVD is first.

You can't just format it, you have to install the OS.

Put the DVD back in and try to use the repair feature first. If it fails then do a reload of the OS. Don't just format it.

If this is a factory built system and you have not damaged it, you system came with a recovery partition that can wipe out the hard drive and return it to the way the factory shipped the drive in your system. If you damaged your recovery partition you will need a recovery disk set from the manufacturer or a retail installation disk (downloading your drivers will be required after installing from retail disk. See your manual on using your recovery console for the factory restore option.
Of course if you formatted your operating system's partition then you will not have a boot manager or any windows installation left on your hard drive. What did you think it would do?

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
