BOOTMGR is missing error message installing Win7

February 22, 2012 at 07:04:11
Specs: Windows 7, 4G
I screwed up installing win7.

I deleted the partition, was installing a new version of Win7, but then shut the PC down.

Now can't use the install off the CD

I just keep getting a message saying 'Windows 7 BOOTMGR is missing. Press Ctl Alt Delete to restart'

I am booting from the CD drive.. so no problem there

How can I install win7?

Thanks

Start over from scratch. Boot off the DVD (not CD), delete ALL partitioning, create new partitions (I recommend 2 - one for Windows, one for Storage), format as NTFS, then continue with the installation. Make sure you have all the necessary drivers ready to go.
