Is a Boot from USB Option in the BIOS ? You appear to have missed listing any specifications of the NoteBook !

Assuming that you are able to boot to USB flash disk, then what ?

Do you want to install an OS from the USB flash disk ? In this case, you need a bootable USB flash disk with an OS installation files on it.

Does Acer Aspire not have a DVD drive ?

Acer offers either a recovery partition (accessed by pressing Alt +F10 at Startup)
try that first.
it will delete all your files though and then reset your system to the day you bought it.
if you just want to boot from a usb with a OS you can try to use any linux boot disk,
download and create a usb boot system its very documented and easy to do, YOU CANNOT create a windows 7 boot disk though, its just not possible, although you can create a win7 boot to install usb, if you cant get into the system restore hidden drive.

but cant help myself....

check with asus, for your exact model, it may not be F10 +alt...unless you have at some point formatted the whole drive you should have a hidden partition on the drive, check in computer/right click/manage disk manager see if you have a hidden partition..
you can download the win7 create usb app, create a boot drive for win7 and run a repair/system restore from that, or a usb repair disk and do the same, if its a software problem these should work, however if you have a hardware issue you will have to go about it in a whole different manner
