Blank square where garbage bin should be at

March 24, 2014 at 05:39:49
Specs: Windows 7
Hi Guys,

I have a blank spot where my garbage bin should be on my desktop. When i open up an other window/program, it covers it (so its not my screen).

i cant right click it or something else
i ran Kaspersky IS 2013 over my pc > detects nothing
its on a secondary screen attached via the display port (VGA)
i have a third screen attached (via display adapter) that one, including my regular laptop screen has no issues.

I've never known that problem to affect just one screen and not the others, very puzzling and defies all logic (to my brain at least) if all three screens are being fed from the same computer.

Try right-clicking on the affected screen and choose "Refresh".

@ewen:
The problems described in this link are nog what i am experiencing. these are focussed on 1. a "missing" bin and how to put it back on your desktop and 2. A corrupt bin.

The bin isnt missing, its covered by a blank spot.
its also not corrupt.

sometimes, when i boot up, everything is normal, but after a few minutes or a next session, the spot is there again. This morning it wasnt so i placed the bin somewhere else, no blank spot (for 45 minutes or so). After a while (pc locked and unlocked) the spot was there again!!

it has nothing to do with the bin apparantly
