black screen on a Toshiba laptop

Specs: Windows 7
my computer screen is black, It seems to be coming on but screen will not show even when pulled in to another monitor

solution 1
are you using ethernet cable ? if yes try to unplugged it and wait for a couple of seconds or minutes .. if it works good for you if not try the solution 2

solution 2
have you tried accessing in safe mode? if not try to access safe mode when you turn on your laptop press f8 then safe mode and then try to go in Start > type troubleshooting > then troubleshoot hardware and network adaptor... and try to restart and check if it works

You should see the bios screen. If the above fails. Turn off the unit remove the battery and take the hard drive out of the unit. plug back in, and turn on, do you get any kind of screen or error message now?

To err is human but to really screw things up, you need a computer!

oh my mistake, I was thinking of computers connected to each other thats why I come-up with unplugging the ethernet cable, because I ve encountered black screen before , the network connection responses slow and the start up program wont process very well that time, only the mouse pointer shows up.

I m very sorry again , I didn't analyze the problem carefully . Just skip that part
