BIOS doesn't recognize HDD

Dell Vostro 3500 notebbok

Specs: Windows 7 Professional with XP mode
On a new Vostro 3750 I unintentionally booted with a CD with Norton Bootable Recovery Tool which had not been previously run. When it asked for the product key I hit quit and exited the program and then tried to reboot. I cannot reboot and BIOS is saying there is no fixed HDD.

You may need to mark the internal hard drive as active. There are any number of ways to accomplish that.

Do you have a full version DVD of Windows 7?

I suggest you first enter the BIOS to verify the drive is being configured there. Then download the free version of Easeus partitioning software linked below and use it to mark the boot partition active.
