Your error log, also mentions vsfilter.dll, maybe it's corrupt & needs replacing.

Unfortunately codec packs have been known to do that sort of thing.

Probably the easiest way forward is to download VLC player (free) and let that handle the file types you mentioned:

You will also find it can handle a multitude of other video/audio files you might run into.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

You probably need to try different codecs. Watch out for the ad's.

A lot of programs, now give you the choice to install toolbars & other during the install. Either uncheck these items during install, or use Custom install. No more click, click during an install, you have to read after each click.

I use Softpedia, down the bottom of the page, they make you aware what Ad-supported programs the author of the program has included.
Sample pages
First and foremost, extra attention needs to be paid during installation as ImgBurn offers to create desktop shortcuts to third-party apps, as well as install a browser toolbar onto the host computer, which are not required to ensure the smooth running of the app.
SS of above.
This is what ImgBurn tries to install.

Use Unchecky to help prevent these third party installs. Nothing is perfect, the badies are always ahead of the goodies, so be vigilant.
A reliable application that aims to protect your computer against third-party components often offered during software installations.

I installed VLC player which is OK with all kind of video types...

But ... i still wonder why the WMP have the BEX problem with some kind of videos ...

Please know, that i use the k-lite codec pack in many PCs with Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit
for many years now, and i don't have any kind of problem so far ...
Maybe, it's the 64 bit system ??? ... I really don't know ...

PS . I used the "Media Player Codec Pack Plus" and i have the exactly same problem ...

Problem SOLVED ...

I came to the conclusion that the problem came from VobSub 2.23 that was already had been installed (SORRY, I FORGOT THE MENTION THIS FROM THE BEGINNING)

So, I installed DirectVobSub 2.41.322 64-bit as you suggested and THAT WAS IT ....

Thank you VERY MUCH for the support ... YOU ARE WONDERFUL ...
