Solved automated backup or clone of an End User pc on the domain

Clone CLONE
May 6, 2014 at 12:20:56
Specs: Windows 7 64, P4- 2.8 ghz 22 gb
I have recently taken over as a Sys Admin with a company that has been willie-nillie up until now
Everyone and their dog did something on this network and now it's time for some organization and better practices.

We are a small company with only about 120 computers on a network.

A couple of times in the past, an End User's PC would die, for what ever reason.
Data and any local PST email files would be lost.

I would like to designate a volume on the server and setup an automated system where the End User would see an icon on their desktop screen and when they click on it, it would do a backup or clone process, creating a file on the designated server volume.

I wouldn't mind doing a clone, but a back up would be amazing.

We are 99% on MS Windows 7 and our servers are MS Server 2008 R2

I want something as thorough as possible, but as simple as possible too.
