Audio and video will not play, computer freez

Microsoft Windows 7 home premium upgrade...
July 28, 2010 at 10:26:56
Specs: Windows 7
After upgrading from vista, my computer will not play video or audio, when it does the program being used to view or listen freezes. This includes web browsers as well as playback programs. Another problem along with these is that when I open IE it takes about 2-3 to load up (a message stating"detecing proxy settings" appears at bottom) . I have spend almost 9 hrs on phone with HP customer service and they have manually taken over computer to try to fix but it never works or the fix never lasts. My computer will soon be a 1yr old, and will no longer be under warrenty, I am hoping someone knows of something to fix this problem!

you can go back to vista by running a factory restore, create a new partition and install win 7 as a second os, you will automatically get a dual boot system.

sounds like software is causing an incompatability withing your upgraded system.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
