Audio and Video stopped working

October 1, 2010 at 13:52:20
Specs: Windows 7
I'm running a new HP dv6 notebook runnng Windows 7, I was playing around with windows media centre where i received my first error when trying to play a MP3 file saying the file is corrupt or missing. Turns out none of my video or audio files will play anymore. Then i noticed my sound doesnt work at all (was not able to hear youtube videos) and the video was choppy (again, youtube videos)... I checked all my drivers and so on and nothing seems to resolve it.

sounds like you have problem machine, also depends what playing around means, have you fully updated?
have you tried a system restore?
do your files with other players like vlc player.?
the choppy you tube is probably a bad/slow internet connection.
you could try a factory restore of your machine if that fails to get it working take it back and complain, if its still under warranty.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
