audacity compatibility with windows 7

June 29, 2010 at 07:23:04
Specs: Windows 7, 4 gb
I have a Bush USB encoding turntable bought to go with a Vista operated computer but have recently had to replace computer and now have Windows 7 o/s. The instructions don't seem to match online and booklet i.e for input/output device names "USB audio codec" - these do not show on the drop down lists. Is there a patch or anything I need to download to ensure compatibility between the computer and t/table?

It may say something like windows device (don't have my system in front of me) I use a Line 6 ux2 usb and it works fine with it and many built in sound cards. Not all show up as what I'd think.

I am also not sure if I installed audacity in compatibility mode or not. Pretty sure I can't hurt to do that either. Both install and run in compatibility mode for xpsp3 if all else fails.

I support the 'Everybody Draw Mohammed Day'. A religion doesn't deny my freedom.
