Specs: Windows 7
Have tried pressing f9 after turning on and get the same screen if I had just turned it on.
Aptio setup utility. I see nothing here to set to factory image. Can this be done on this notebook?

I believe you need to make the 3 DVD to restore back to factory image. eMachine has a built in recovery I believe. I don't know about yours. To create these DVD look in
All Programs. Before you use them try something else. With your computer off - be prepared to start tapping the F8 key when you press the power button on. With your arrow keys select Safe Mode - Once it loads your screen will look different ---- Click Start - in the Search area type - msconfig - Press Enter Key - Press the Tools tab - at the bottom of the list click System Restore - click Launch - If system restore works for you click next - click the box to show more restore points - select an earlier date - next - follow directions.-------------- Another way after you start your computer and tapping the
F8 key is the first on the list may be to Repair your computer You can try that. --------
In the same location you can try last Known Good Configuration. --------
It may be nessesary to Create a Repair Disc - Start - Control Panel - Open the icon
Backup and Restore - at the left top corner - Create a System Repair Disc - A CD is good enough for this. If you have a friend with Windows 7 you can use their System Repair Disc.
