If you made your Windows 7 Repair Disk when the machine was new, you can boot to the Repair Disk and start a System Restore from outside of Windows and use the Restore Point that Windows automatically makes before installing any update or new program, or any previous restore point.
If you did not make a Repair Disk yet, you can still make one from another Windows 7 machine as long as both machines are 32bit or 64bit and use that to perform your repair.
If your system does not boot to the Repair Disk and you know that it was made correctly, you may need to go into your BIOS and reset the boot order so the CD/DVD drive is first in boot order, and you probably will need to 'hit any key to boot from CD/DVD drive'.
If it still does not boot to the Repair Disk, you may have a hardware problem and the install is just a coincidence. In this case, you can confirm this by trying to boot to a CD prepared with Memtest on it and a hard drive test utility like Seatools.
Report back results and more details.

Added: Once it works again, I would suggest running Malewarebytes in case the problem with the install was an infection.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
