Are you wondering how to install Magic Box?

Specs: Windows 7
If you have a brand new operating system such as Windows 7, Vista, XP Professional, (64 bit) you may have noticed that your OESD Magic Box doesn't want to work! Bummer! I understand your frustration. The best way to avoid this problem is to install an earlier version like Windows 95, 98, or ME onto a separate computer if you can. Use your Newer Version of Windows for everything else. Why? Simply put: No one has come out with a version of Magic Box for the newer versions; with the exception of major manufactors who carry their own versions of embroidery software (ex. Melco Amayah, Tajima, Brother, etc.) For the home embroiderer, paying thousands of dollars in software may not be the most profitable solution.

I am stunned at the amount of posts on such a niche product. How many people using sewing and knitting apps could there be world wide? 500?

Magic Box will run just fine on XP, Vista, & Windows 7 32 bit versions. It just won't run on the 64 bit versions.

I think the solution is OK but it is usually very difficult to load an old OS on a new computer.

I'd be inclined to trouble shoot it and see if it could be installed on a 64 bit OS by some method or even a virtual machine running an old OS.
