Microsoft Microsoft windows xp home edit...

Specs: Windows XP, 3.06GHz
My husband builds web sites and always used Cute HTML. He had to replace his computer and it has Windows 7 and the program will not work in 7. The program is no longer available. So would anyone know of a good html editor that is simple to use? Don't need anything fancy.
Thank You

Might try portableapps.com for a portable editor like http://portableapps.com/apps/develo... or the installed ones.

Could use OpenOffice too.

Plenty of simple editors. If he has been doing this a while he would know how to find and select a program.

It could be that this program will still work in compatibility mode.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?

"the program will not work in 7"

If he still has the prog, tell him to right click on the installation and run as administrator, then run it in compatibility mode, it should work for him.

I am running old progs on windows 7 pro that I used with 98 & XP and they work great in compatibility mode. Let me know how you make out.

I don't know why some posters are pushing open office, I find it really is not too user friendly and definitely nothing at all like M$ Office.

How do I make a program work that isn't a 64 bit? How do you get to the compatibility mode?
