Download the free Quick Startup from here When installing the program, be aware of the ‘foistware’ Toolbar add-on and when you've finished using it, uninstall it as it has served its purpose.

Not only does it check for the necessity of startup programs but it can identify ‘nasties‘. To disable (recommended action) an entry, remove the tick alongside its name. If you are unsure about an entry and want to know more about it, highlight it and then click ‘More information’ at the bottom of the screen. To delete an entry from the list (it doesn't uninstall the program), highlight it and click Delete in the left pane.

Out of curiousity, I just tried "Quick Startup". It found 2 startup entires.

I then tried CCleaner-Slim (which contains no "foistware") & clicked Tools > Startup- it listed 5 startup entries plus 3 that I had already disabled. Then I ran MSCONFIG - it listed the same 5 entries but only one of the disabled.

Unscientific conclusion: try CCleaner-Slim which contains no bundled spyware:

BTW, I immediately uninstalled Quick Startup & will never use it again, nor will I recommend it.
