An issue with using the printer and it not connecting

Specs: Windows 10
printer not responding. Port in use please wait. Can you please advise how to rectify this issue. I have a canon MG3600 and have recently moved house.

Did the printer work ok when you first arrived in your new home?

Have you tried rebooting your router. Power it down and remove power cord for about 2minutes. Then power up again and see if that has resolved the problem?

Are you using your own router and the same ISP.

This is a usb/wifi printer, and it has ethernet connection?

Can you see the printer on your network?

Are you using Canon’s system for wifi, or have you set up the printer’s wifi connection another way?

First step is to unplug the printer, wait 30 seconds, restart printer. While printer is starting, restart computer. Since it is a Windows 10 machine it is important to use the Restart feature, NOT shut down and start again, this is because this feature clears away errors that shutting down often saves. Windows 10 tries to speed things up by saving prior uses as well as settings that this actually saves errors and issues and carries them over to the new start. Restarting should be periodically done (at least one weekly).

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
