Solved All the Shortcuts opens with adobe

One of my friend was using my laptop. After he returned to me, I noticed that all of my shortcuts on the desktop has changed with adobe icon... When I click any of the shortcut icon to open it, It opens in Adobe reader. But as Adobe reader does not support those files, hence it gives the error of the file being not supported by adobe reader.
I understood the problem, i.e. maybe my friend had "Right clicked" any of the icon and had put Adobe reader as the default program to open it... So, I uninstalled Adobe reader and everything was just like previous... But whenever I install Adobe Reader again, again the same problem arises... I tried checking through Registry, but did not find any solution...
Help me out. I want to keep my Adobe Reader but want to get rid of this problem...
I guess, formatting is not the only Solution...!

✔ Best Answer
Go here and run the EXE fix and the LNK fix:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...

If the problem arises after installing Adobe then run them again.

It would then be a good idea to run Malware Bytes freebie to see if it picks up anything.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
