Specs: Windows 7
Hi guys,

Just got home from work and started my pc. Running ok etc,
I accidentaly opened one of the icons with media player now all the desktop icons and those in the start/programs menu are called .lnk

Nothing runs?? none of the *.exe programs will run when I go my computer->C:\->whatever program and try to run them directly. All of the icons seem to have been replaced by the kind that windows uses when it doesn't know what a file is???
and i have also tried the reg fixs but it is showing a error message as
cannot import c:\..\exe_fix_w7.reg:not all data was successfully written to the registry.some keys are open by the system or other processes.
KNOW WHAT SHOULD I DO?

In explorer, are the files still their original sizes - ie, is this just a rename problem?
