Adobe Elements 7 freeze in Windows 7

November 27, 2010 at 06:26:19
Specs: Windows 7
I have Adobe Elements 7 running on Windows 7. When I try to open up the Organizer, I get an updating indicator bar and when it finishes, Elements is frozen. I can do nothing with it and most times can not close it without turnng the machine off. The task manager can not always close it. I can open the editor from the start but not the organizer.

You need to change the startup to XP compatibility mode. Elements 7 is not designed to run native in Win 7. If you need to use it consider the upgrade to Elements 9.

Thanks, Rich, but that does not look easy to do and I frequently have Photoshop CS5 AND Elements open simultaneously. Not going back to Vista, or XP. Don't need Elements 9, so i am hoping there is another way. I appreciate your response.
