Solved acer aspire factory restore

Aspire netbook one D255 trying to change windows password get to screen ok but it says administrator protected not sure whst to do

Can you be a little more specific (please)?

Are you saying that when it boots up (to Linux - as your "specs." says OS is Linux?) it goes to a login screen that requests an admin password?

Similarly can you logon with another password?

When you get to the change Microsoft pass word screen it is administrator protected

That implies that you are trying to change the password when you do not know the original one which Windows will not let you easily do. Your question is very confusing in many ways, not least because the title mentions 'Factory Restore' but then you go onto passwords. Give a bit more background on what exactly you are trying to do & what has got you to the point you are at, then someone may be able to help you.
