Specs: Windows 7
I had the redirect virus and it shut off access to some of my appdata files under users. I have no idea what I am doing so I need your help. Inside the appdata file on the path the program stated it didn't have permission for are 3 files 'local' 'locallow' roaming' also a file 'default'. Help please. Thanks.

If you didn't already, you need to get rid of the virus. If you think you did get rid of it and you don't have access to your programs, you may have to do a windows repair.

HitmanPro found the trojan and deleted it, but it changed some settings in my registry. I'm not versed enough to mess with the registry or other changes it made. I can access other programs in the appdata folder it just shut off access to Outlook, iTunes and Nero 10. It also changed it so I have to choose a new search provider everytime I go online. I am no longer getting redirected from my searches.

I don't have a Windows 7 disk, I bought the download version. Any suggestions??

Thanks for your time and effort.

Sounds like there's traces left. Try downloading and installing Malwarebytes free here
http://www.malwarebytes.org/

And download this to clean the registry. It's free and safe. Use the slim version

Here's a repair disk
