access prob with W7 hdd as a slave on 2nd W7

Specs: windows 7
desparate to get 6 months of photos off hdd which has win7 installed
win7 hdd has corrupt OS
slaved the corrupted hdd drive via a USB interface to another windows 7 pc
am administrator on 2nd win 7 pc
took ownership of folders under User profile on 1st hdd
can see folders and image jpgs but wont let me copy them or open them
access denied
help please

It might work easier if it was installed as a 2nd internal hard drive, I have had success saving data that way.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

I'll make an attempt to tell you how I got by this Access Denied.
You can try now and latter when you do what Fingers said and than try.
Just one thing, to connect up inside the second computer as a slave you
may have to order the cables. My computer didn't come with the cables
and I had to order them.

Access Denied - For the file in question.
Right click - properties - Security Tab - Advance Button -
Change Permissions - Edit - Allow - OK- Apply - OK - OK - OK

Windows 7 makes it difficult to get through Access Denied and if done
wrong you won't get permission.
