I am using Windows 7 Ultimate! For the past few weeks my laptop is acting strangely. When I start the computer it turns on and where the Windows four frames come to gather, it gives the impression its going to start up, but instead of starting up its shuts down, then I start again where Windows message shows up that Windows couldn’t start due to a hardware failure, and it gives two choices, either repair or start Windows normally.
And form that time I have to start up and do it 2 times to start my computer. Please any help any ideas.

Does it give any indication what the hardware failure is.

possibly an updated driver is causing the problem, press f8 after choosing your boot program, 1st choose "last known good config" if that fails try safe mode and see if can do a system restore from a date before you had the issue.
if that fails drop in the DVD and choose a repair of your installation.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

Also possible memory problem. Run Memtest from bootable floopy or CD to make sure.
