Is it possible to use hdmi cable to 2 rca then use a logitech game adapter to split into the green red and black connection? or would a logitech z506 speaker system do what i want. only want it for music.

You have to connect the sound card to an amp that can produce surround sound. To do that, you have to buy a cable with the proper jacks. They don't cost much.

The sound will improve tremendously. You'll really like it.
