Windows 3.11 for Workgroups: sound card and n

Specs: Microsoft Windows for Workgroups 3.11, Gateway 2000 P5-133XL (Pentium 133, 128MB RAM, 2.0GB partition with Windows 3.11 WFW on WD Caviar 32500)
I am having a problem that I hope someone can help me with.

My Gateway 2000 machine has a Ensoniq Vivo/Vivo90 soundcard (sndcrd006acww), MGA Matrox Millennium 2MB video card (vidpci007acww), and a 3Com Etherlink III network card (the Windows driver for it is ELNK3.DOS and the network starts without a hitch). If you do a google search you will find the Windows 3.x drivers still on the website after all these years.

When I have the etherlink card installed with the Windows networking, everything works fine, but when I installed the sound driver and video driver, the sound driver seems to have a conflict or something because when Windows boots it makes the startup sound and then keeps repeating itself ding-ding-ding etc non-stop. Does anyone know why this happens? Is there an IRQ or other setting I need to change? Thanks. It would be cool to get this working, because right now I can have the internet installed but can't have sound, or I can have sound but the the network doesn't start (I get an error).

Well, it turns out I had no problems or conflicts getting my NT 3.51 setup working with drivers, so I am running that OS instead. I'll try to close this thread. Thanks.
