Currently my Windows 3.1 machine is giving me a lot of trouble. When I load Windows from DOS 6.22, It gets to the splash screen, does the 'Hard Drive Making Coffee' ;-) sound, then just randomly freezes. I can't even use the power button. So I pulled the plug (with regret about what I must be doing to the hard drive :-\), rebooted, and ran Scandisk. No errors. Went into the Windows Setup Utility from DOS, and changed the drivers back to default VGA, I had some problems with that in the past, but no difference. Then, I left my seat for a couple minutes to answer the phone while it was still on the splash screen, and it booted up! What the heck happened? EDIT: I had recently installed Autocad R12 to try and copy some old drawing files from it, and I think it changed the filestack count. Should I change this back?
