Okay. Then there is a problem with the path.

Type cd c:\windows then type WIN

In autoexec.bat you can define paths for quick access to programs in DOS and Windows. This saves a lot of hassle from switching directories especially when you are in DOS. The idea though is to use it sparingly because it takes up valuable conventional memory in DOS and may require extra environment space in your config.sys when used in conjunction with the SET command:

A path line in my autoexec.bat is as follows:

SET PATH=C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINZIP;C:\DOS;C:\PICTVIEW;C:\PACKET

This is what allows me to type "win" at the dos prompt no matter what DOS directory I may be using at the time - which is actually win.com (you could type out the proper name if you want) that starts up windows.
