Is there any reason for us to upgrade .NET Framework 4.5 to

Is there any reason for us to upgrade .NET Framework 4.5 to version 4.6? Would there be any repercussion in not upgrading to v4.6? These are the questions that's running through my mind. I've got an environment where we are currently on version 4.5. We can't upgrade to version 4.6 because of legacy software that crashes on v4.6 on our sandbox environment. Can we hold off on v4.5 and just run critical/security patches?

TIA

Sometimes programs require specific versions so it can be necessary to keep the old ones anyway. If you upgrade then it could enhance security somewhat but I don't feel the risks are too high. It would seem reasonable to put this query on ice until some program asks for a later version, although others might have a different opinion.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
