Solved windows xp client cannot see the server

Specs: Windows xp
hi, i have server with Domain controller, installled DNS and a client pc running in windows xp. the client is added to the domain, and the server can see the client PC. The client PC cannot see the server.

i can ping from the server and the client both, it is working well.

can you guide me how can the client access the server? i shared some folder in the server but nothing appears.

What about windows firewall? Check the settings there or on any other security program that you have. Also check group policies.

The share won't magically appear on the client. For adhoc acces use the shares UNC path: \\server\share. If you will need access frequently map it to a drive letter.
