Specs: Windows 7
Can I use the drivers of Win 7 for Win server 2008 on the same PC? The PC came preinstalled with Win 7 and is working perfectly well with all device drivers installed.

More than likely it will work since they are basically the same os.

If so then why do I see this message "If your operating system is not listed above, HP does not have software or driver downloads available for this product in that operating system." on the hp website (manufactureres of the PC) when trying to get drivers that will support the same PC but with Win 2008 Installed?

Because you can't believe everything people tell you on this site.

You want to install Windows 2008 on a computer currently running Windows 7? Is that the idea? If so, I curious why.

Windows 7 and Server 2008 are very similar so most drivers will work. In many cases manufacturers will not list a device as compatible with a server OS simply because they wish to avoid the problems of supporting it.

Vista drivers will also work as I have had to use a vista driver for a wireless adapter.
