Solved sbs 2003 and server 2008 with exchange

Specs: Windows 2003
is this possible run sbs 2003 and server 2008(with exchange).
sbs2003 for data only and server 2008 for emails only.

run both server on same network with different domain controller.

Yes, you can. However, the licensing from SBS does not count when running on a different machine. You'll have to purchase the software and all of the CAL's separately.

Correct answer is NO you can not run with a different domain controller.
The SBS is the only domain controller by default. You can add a dc for authenication purposes.

You will not be able to xfer the SBS fsmo roles to another DC. This is the nature of SBS. It is meant to be a all-in-one standalone installation.
