Problem with DHCP after installing AD DS

July 13, 2011 at 23:49:30
Specs: Windows SERVER 2008
Okay, installed Win2008 R2 server on my machine and right after the installation, I setup DCHP server with IP pool. I can see client computers get allocated from the ip pool. That is before setting up active directory.

Next step is I set up the active directory services and added my computer to domain to become domain controller. Suddenly, other computers can not see the runing DHCP on the domain controller anymore. I had to assign static IP with same subnet as the Domain controller subnet to have it join domain. Even after joining domain, that client can still not get the IP address DHCP from domain controller. Can someone give some hint on this? Thanks!!!

Still does not work. This time installed AD DS 1st and then DHCP. I see DHCP started servin clients now (event viewer says that), before saying that there are couple of error messages in the event saying "cant see directory services / not authorized to start etc". Any idea? THanks
