Specs: Windows Server 2008 r2
Hi, i'm a very newbie with the server win 2008 r2, i'm new where i work now and i found a lan with this server. it have all set like dns, dhcp, and other for to manage the number of ip 192.168.1.x . in this manner every pc can access to internet and visit external sites.
Now the properties need to manage some other pc on the lan and i need to use the 192.168.0.x series.
i've tried to set a pc with a fixed ip 192.168.0.30 but internet wasn't accessible.
So, i ask some help to know which settings need for to manage the new ip series.

i hope my question is clear, because for me it's so simple.
thank's to all in advance
G.B.

"Now the properties need to manage some other pc on the lan and i need to use the 192.168.0.x series"

You would need to put a router in between the .0.x network and the .1.x network or simple change the device at .0.30 to a .1.x ip

This is simple if you understand routing and ip addressing.

Answers are only as good as the information you provide.

Alternatively, you could add a second IP address, in the 192.168.0.0 range, to your NIC in addition to the 192.168.1.0 address.
