Specs: Server 2008, Amd Athlon II x4/8GB
Hi all, so here is the scenario.

I have 1 hardware PC with 1 hardware NIC on which I am running vmware workstation (7.1.6). Within this I am running 2 virtual machines running Server 2008 R2 Datacenter.

As I wanted to simulate clustering I wanted to know if there is any way I can create second virtual NIC on these virtual machines someway? To use clustering I need two NIC's on both servers so that cluster traffic is on one NIC and general traffic is on default existing NIC.

For your information, I am using NAT to interconnect these servers in virtual lab environment. I am using AMD Athlon II x4 645 with 3.10Ghz clock and 8 GB RAM.

Any utility etc. that will allow me to create second virtual NIC on these virtual machines?

It is certainly possible. I thought you could do this via the Settings GUI (you can with VirtualBox), but this link seems to imply that you need to edit the configuration file: http://www.chrisdottodd.com/2011/08...
