Intranet logon prompt

Specs: Windows 2008 R2, 4ghz/128gb
When users try to connect to the intranet via
the portal they get the attached credential

Unless the user prefixes their username with
"acme\" this logon fails.

Is there any way to pre-populate the domain in
this dialog box, or 'cache' the domain or
something? These users are connecting
remotely via a vpn connection from home pc's.

There is a GP setting where it will allow anyone already logged onto the domain go straight to the Intranet without re-authenticating.

In Group Policy add "URL" as a Trusted Site. Also put in Group Policy the setting to change the User Authentication in IE to "Automatic logon with current user name and password."
