Booting with VHD problem

Specs: win7 64 bit, 8
Hi,

I am having a very annoying issue.
I have created a VHD on my c drive in win 7 64bit pro.
I then installed without problem win 2008 server r2, restarted the pc, had a dual boot choice.
The next day, I rebooted the pc and lost the dual boot menu.
I am now in win 7 again, reattached the VHD but still cannot get the native dual boot to work.

Any idea why please?

The .vhd image is still there.

Thank you,

Ben

Try using diskpart to attach the VHD.

[Diskpart
select vdisk file=full path to file
attach
exit]

After which, you can try using tools to edit your boot configuration, like easyBCD.
