How can I schedule a System State backup to a Network Share? The wizard keeps telling me that it can not see any backup devices because I have no external devices connected to this server.

I mis the old NTbackup.

Ok, I found that you can not do it through the GUI so I used the following...

WBADMIN START SYSTEMSTATEBACKUP -backuptarget:\\svr010\backups\svr040

but then it tells me I can not backup to a Share. Microsoft what the F. Who ever wrote this new backup system should be fired.

Whats more, if you try to create subdirectories you can not back up a system state to a subdirectory. You must backup to a Root.

If some one know a better way let me know.

Thanks for the reply. I have already been to that page. Yes it tells me how to do a backup but not how to work around the new broken backup. I was kinda looking for a way I could just use the old ntbackup which was better than this new one. I am currently writing a batch script to make it do what I want.

Thanks any ways.
