Here is the problem:
I have installed the RAM in the server (windows 2008 enterprise)and the bios see the memmory
When I boot the server I can also see that the server see the memory.
Before installing the new ram I ad a normal CPU consomtion 1% to 14%max bout when I put the new memory A2257217 16GB 2X8GB DDR2-667 FBDIMM Dell PowerEdge R900 (320981120794) I get a high CPU usage from 80% to 100% usage and it takes 15 minute to boot that server usaly it takes 4 minutes to boot.

What can be the problem? the RAM?

You may need to update the BIOS on the server PC since upgrading the RAM. I just read another thread (different forum) started by someone with the same problem after upgrading the RAM to 8GB on Windows 7 64-bit, and they solved the long boot time by updating the BIOS.

So check your server PC manufacturer's website to see if they have a BIOS update for your model. If the PC is a self-build or built-to-order (no brand name), check the motherboard maker's website instead.

The server is a Dell powerhedge R900 and the bios is at 1.2, it is the latess.
I am trying to add 16GB 2X8, hafter adding the 16GB the server should have 104GB.
wonderring if it's the RAM that is bad or if something have to be setup in the bios?
