Hi ,

I am having small doubt like when installing the New Windows server like file server or Jumpbox (terminal server) so in that which licensing option we need to select usually. Per seat or Per Server if Per seat and how many and if Per server than how many as well ?

Per user = One license for every user (for every account so to speak).

Per device = One license for every computer.

If you have 50 users moving around on 100 computers you'd choose per user license. If you have a 100 users sharing 50 computers you'd choose per device license. Whichever one is the cheapest for you.

If you're gonna set up a terminal server you'll need one TS CAL for every user / device as well, on top of the others. Same rules with user / device license as the regular CAL.
