windows 2003 share folders with password

Specs: Windows 2003
I have vfp application loaded windows 2003 server. users have access the application through shared folders with out any password protection. I want to share the folders with a password so that user can not access the folders directly and only through vfp application.

If this is a server application, one based on running on the server, usually they are not shared. Consult the applications documentation.

If the application needs to be shared minimal rights would be list, read and execute.

You can not put passwords on folders or shares in 2003. You can in 2008.
