website stopped working after installation of FTP

Specs: Windows Server 2003
Newbie here, so forgive my amateur language and skill level.
I have windows server 2003 on my old desktop installed and I'm hosting website on it.

Everything was fine until I attempted to install ftp site and that's when my website stopped working. I can browse it from IIS level and it opens up fine, but when I go to web browser it is not working at all. I have belkin router and proper port is open for Web Server (HTTP) services.

I even deleted ftp to restore state to initial state when it was working. Port for website is set to 80 in IIS and it is running. No other websites exist on this server.

Any help will be greatly appreciate it.

P.S. English is not my first lang.

Are you able to browse to the website from the server itself?

Yes well, from IIS level but not from the web browser

Check your bindings in IIS. I am guessing that you are only binding to localhost:80 which would explain what is happening. If so add a binding for the actual hostname on port 80 for the web application.

Is the website started? Right click the site under the web sites node, right click the site and see if stop is an option, if not, the site is stopped and needs to be started. If that's the case, then you can continue your investigation into why it won't start.
