Solved unable to find ide drive

June 4, 2012 at 16:24:57
Specs: server 2003
I have a computer running XP pro, with 2 ide hard drives.
OK i have been given 2 SATA drives which I used to replace the 2 ide drives and loaded windows server 2003, all ok............ Now the 2 ide drives have all my photos and music on them, so I have taken out one of the SATA`s and replaced it with one of the ide`s, purpose being to transfer all from ide to SATA, but, the ide drive does not show up in "my computer",but it is there in the disc manager, can somebody let me know how to find my ide drive to open it.
Thanks in advance John.

I guess you put the drive in the case and plug in via usb to transfer all files

I have just looked these up on Amazon, they have 2.5inch and 3.5inch, on my discs it does not have a size but does have 3.5 series- is this same as 3.5inch??
Regards to you , John.
